Booking Process

Bookings may be made by telephone, email, online form, or any other method we make available from time to time. Accurate information helps us allocate the correct equipment, detergents, and staffing.

If you are arranging a carpet cleaning service on behalf of another person or on behalf of a business, you warrant that you have authority to do so. You are responsible for ensuring that the person who will receive the service understands and agrees to these terms where necessary. We reserve the right to refuse or reschedule a booking if the premises are not safe, accessible, or suitable for the planned cleaning method.

We may ask for pre-payment, a deposit, or card authorisation in order to secure an appointment, particularly for larger jobs, peak periods, or commercial contracts. The amount and timing of any deposit will be explained at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed, booking times are approximate. We aim to arrive within the agreed window, but arrival may be affected by traffic, weather, access issues, or earlier jobs overrunning. Where a quotation is based on information supplied by you and the actual work required is greater than anticipated, we may adjust the final invoice to reflect the actual service provided. You will be informed of the revised price before additional work begins whenever reasonably possible. If you fail to pay any amount due, we reserve the right to charge reasonable recovery costs, late payment interest where permitted by law, and administrative fees associated with collecting overdue sums.

For business customers, payment terms may be agreed separately in writing. If no alternative credit terms are agreed, business invoices remain payable on completion. We may suspend further carpet cleaners W1J services or cancel future bookings where there is an outstanding balance, a history of late payment, or evidence of misuse of the booking system.

Discounts, promotions, and special offers are offered at our discretion and may be withdrawn or amended at any time without notice unless already confirmed for a specific booking. We will not be responsible for indirect losses caused by a cancellation or delay, such as missed meetings, relocation schedules, or loss of business, except where such loss arises from our negligence and cannot lawfully be excluded. We are also not liable where cancellation is caused by events beyond our control, including severe weather, road closures, equipment failure, or staff illness.

You must provide safe, reasonable, and timely access to the property, including any necessary parking arrangements, entry instructions, and permission from landlords, agents, or building management where required. If access is restricted, if no one is available to admit our team, or if the premises are unsafe, we may not be able to complete the work. In such circumstances, the visit may still be chargeable. It is your responsibility to remove small valuables, fragile items, and personal belongings from the work area before cleaning begins.

Liability and Service Limitations

We will perform the cleaning service with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate methods and equipment for the textile type and condition disclosed to us. However, carpet and upholstery cleaning involves inherent risks because fibres, dyes, adhesives, underlay, pre-existing wear, and hidden contamination may react unpredictably. We do not guarantee the removal of all stains, odours, or marks, particularly where they are permanent, old, chemically set, or caused by prior treatment.

Our liability for loss or damage is limited to direct loss that is reasonably foreseeable and caused by our proven negligence or breach of contract. We shall not be liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Where we are responsible for damage, our liability may be limited to the lesser of the cost of repair, replacement value, or the amount paid for the relevant service.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, shrinkage, colour loss, deterioration, hidden defects, poor installation, weakened seams, damp-related issues, or damage caused by unsuitable cleaning instructions supplied by the manufacturer or by you. If you ask us to proceed despite a warning about a possible risk, you do so at your own risk. We may refuse to use a method that we consider unsafe or unsuitable. If we identify a hazard such as mould, biohazard contamination, pest infestation, or severe water damage, we may stop work immediately and advise that specialist treatment is required.

You must inform us in advance if the property contains hazardous substances, bodily fluids, needles, asbestos, or other specialist waste. Standard carpet cleaning is not suitable for hazardous or clinical waste. If such material is discovered during the visit, we may suspend work and ask that specialist contractors handle the issue. Any additional cost arising from contaminated waste, specialist disposal, or decontamination requirements may be charged to you if the issue was not disclosed before the booking.

We may use water extraction, detergents, stain treatments, and other cleaning agents that are suitable for normal domestic and commercial use. You are responsible for advising us of any allergies, sensitivities, pets, or known chemical reactions that may affect the choice of product. While we aim to use environmentally responsible solutions where practicable, performance and safety remain our primary considerations. You should also ensure that waste water from our work is not interfered with before our team has completed removal and disposal procedures.

Customer Responsibilities

You must ensure that the carpets or textiles to be cleaned are reasonably accessible and that furniture movement, if required, is agreed in advance. Heavy items may not be moved unless this has been arranged and is safe to do so. You are responsible for protecting vulnerable items, unplugging delicate electronics, and keeping children and pets away from work areas during the service. If any item must be moved, lifted, or worked around, you accept the normal risks associated with doing so unless we have acted negligently.

It is your responsibility to provide truthful information about previous treatments, such as bleach, stain blockers, adhesives, dyes, or repairs. False or incomplete information may affect the outcome of the cleaning and may void any claim relating to damage or unsatisfactory results. We may also require ventilation, heating, or drying conditions to be met after completion. Drying times are approximate and depend on temperature, humidity, airflow, textile type, and soil level; we do not guarantee a specific drying period unless expressly agreed in writing.

Governing law and complaint handling for carpet cleanersComplaints, Changes, and Governing Law

If you are unhappy with the service, you should notify us as soon as reasonably possible and allow us a chance to inspect the matter or carry out any appropriate remedial work. Claims made long after the service date may be harder to assess and may be rejected if the delay has prevented proper investigation. We may request photographs, proof of damage, maintenance records, or access to the affected area before accepting any responsibility. Any remedial action offered by us does not amount to an admission of liability.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or commercial changes. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
